Helena is a partner specialising in the audit of charities and other not-for-profit organisations, particularly membership organisations and learned societies. She has considerable experience of advising and auditing charities having been involved in the sector for over 20 years. She brings sound commercial and practical experience gained from having been a finance director, as well as an auditor.
Helena is a member of the ICAEW Charity and voluntary group. Helena returned to Chantrey Vellacott DFK following seven years as head of finance and a number of years as acting managing director at Alexandra Palace and Park. In these roles, she dealt with numerous matters including financial management, strategic planning and corporate governance. Helena has particular knowledge of the challenges and conflicts faced by a director of finance and sound experience of finding practical solutions to problems. This gives her a pragmatic and commercial approach, invaluable to her clients in an ever competitive world.
Outside the office she enjoys exploring the countryside with her husband and dogs in tow, clay pigeon shooting and generally being outdoors.
