Audit Senior

I joined Chantrey Vellacott DFK (CVDFK) just over 2 years ago as an Audit Junior on their graduate training programme.  It has been a testing period, not only because of the huge sacrifices required to complete the dull and never ending audit exams, but also because of the extremely hectic social life in operation in our close-knit department.
 
Psychology was my major at university and my previous employment experience lies in the realms of investment banking.  However, I have not looked back as the experiences I have gained at CVDFK have been very rewarding. .
 
CVDFK offers a wide range of opportunities including secondments to other departments within the firm.  In the past I have been voluntarily seconded to internal audit where I was in charge of a number of challenging projects.  Additionally, travel is always on the agenda with some people visiting as far as Scotland.
 
I proudly admit that accounting has not been a life long ambition of mine, however, I made the right decision when accepting the job at CVDFK.  Spending at least 3 years in any company can become routine and mundane.  CVDFK is never like this.  The people are the best assets the firm has (we defy the accountants stereotype) and there are always plenty of amusing stories to tell of the night before...
