The client owned a group of recruitment companies where the ownership structure prevented tax losses in one group company being offset against profits in another.
We identified that by restructuring the group of companies significant tax savings could be made. Following the restructuring, the group saved over £100,000 in corporation tax in the first year and will continue making similar savings for the foreseeable future. This has also enabled the tax charge in the accounts each year to be reduced to a more reasonable level.
