On 23 February 2012, Adrian Hyde of Chantrey Vellacott DFK was appointed management receiver of Sustainable Agroenergy Plc, Sustainable Wealth Investments (UK) Limited, Sustainable Growth Group (UK) Limited and VIP Group Limited.
 
The appointments were made by Southwark Crown Court following an application of the Serious Fraud Office (SFO). Following a further Court hearing on 12 March 2012, Mr Hyde was granted full powers of management over the companies.
 
Sustainable Growth Group (UK) Limited, Sustainable Agroenergy Plc and Sustainable Wealth Investments (UK) Limited entered Administration on 15 March 2012 following an application to court. Adrian Hyde and Kevin Murphy of Chantrey Vellacott DFK LLP were appointed Joint Administrators of the group.
 
The SFO is investigating the activities of the companies in connection with selling ‘bio-fuel’ investment products involving Jatropha tree plantations in South East Asia.
